保偏光器件(PM)的事情原理:
1)光在普通单模光纤的传输时,任何非对称因素诸如纤芯的不圆度,外在应力的加载都将在光纤中引入双折射效应导而致光的畸变,此时相互笔直的两个偏振模态的传输常数是相同的。
2)在实际光传输中,由于光纤所受到的外界应力是随情况和温度的变革而不绝变革的,因此,普通光纤中的光的偏振模态是不稳定的。但如果在光纤内部引入高双折射效应来对抗外在的应力变革的滋扰,就能维持光纤中传输光的偏振模态。保偏光纤正是基于这样的原理来坚持偏振光稳定的传输状态。
3)光源输出偏振光不可能是理想的,而是有一个初始的消光比0ER,我们可以将那些不需要的光看成是配景光信号,这些配景光信号在系统的每一个连接处累积起来。如果我们能包管这些不需要的偏振态的光信号远小于实际的光信号,我们就能盘算通过每一个连接后的最终的输出消光比。
3)保偏器件的目的就是在接续或者耦合两根保偏光纤中的偏振光时尽量坚持偏振光的原有的偏振状态或者对偏振态进行某种变换。
保偏光器件(PM)的作用:
广泛应用以及偏振复用看法的提出,保偏器件正面临着巨大的市场潜力。PM器件有许多,好比最常见的是PM连接器,PM准直器,PM合(分)波器,退(起)偏器、偏振相关环行器、偏振相关隔离器等。
